Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed that he will leave McLaren at the end of this season,

one year before the end of his original contract.

The Australian has won one race for McLaren, a one-two finish in Monza last year.

However, he has struggled to compete with teammate Lando Norris and

is currently 12th in the championship with 19 points, 57 behind Norris.

In recent races, McLaren has fallen behind Alpine in the constructors

championship as speculation about Ricciardo's future has grown.

and, with McLaren believing it has a contract with Oscar Piastri in place,

an agreement has been reached to end Ricciardo's contract early.
