Sheryl Sandberg, the departing COO of Meta, wed former NBC News producer Tom Bernthal on Saturday.
After dating for a year, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram in the traditional manner. They got engaged in February 2020.
Each of them shared the exact photo of the two of them holding hands in the woods
with Sandberg simply writing, "MARRIED," and adding a string of heart emojis.
Bernthal the brother of actor Jon Bernthal and the founder of consultancy business Kelton Global, added a longer caption to his photo.
His statement made references to both his own divorce as well as the 2015 passing of Sandberg's first husband, former Yahoo CEO Dave Sandberg.
The pair revealed to People that Dave's brother Rob Goldberg officiated the Wyoming wedding.
The co-officiant at the wedding was the one who initially introduced Sandberg to Bernthal.
While Bernthal, 52, has three children, Sandberg, 50, has two.
